Add a Fixed 'Confidential' Stamp

Sometimes you need to add a confidential watermark to your PowerPoint presentation to protect sensitive information. Instead of adding text manually on each slide, you can set it up once in the Slide Master so it appears consistently across all slides. Because it’s placed in the Master, the text box is fixed and cannot be removed on individual slides.

Step 1: Open the Slide Master

Go to the View tab and select Slide Master. This lets you edit the template that controls all slides.

Step 2: Insert a Text Box

In the Insert tab, choose Text Box and place it where you want the watermark (e.g., bottom of the slide).

Step 3: Add and Format Your Text

Type CONFIDENTIAL (or your chosen text). Then adjust the font, size, color, and transparency until it looks subtle but visible.

Step 4: Apply to All Slides

Close the Slide Master view. The watermark will now automatically appear on all slides.

💡 Pro Tip: Use transparency or light gray text for your watermark. This makes it visible without distracting from your content.
