Change Slide Orientation

By default, PowerPoint presentations use landscape orientation. But sometimes, portrait slides are a better choice — for example, when creating posters, mobile content, or documents. Luckily, you can change the slide orientation in just a few steps.

Step 1: Open the Design Tab

Go to the Design tab in the top menu to access layout options.

Step 4: Adjust Content Scaling

PowerPoint will ask if you want to Maximize the content or Ensure Fit. Choose the option that best preserves your layout.

Result: Slides in the Orientation You Need

Your presentation now uses the new orientation, making it fit perfectly for your specific use case.

💡 Pro Tip: Portrait orientation is great for posters, handouts, and mobile-optimized presentations. Combine it with custom slide sizes to fit exactly to your needs.
